In the cheese shop, you can have the cheese cut to the weight of your choice. The cheese is packed in special cheese paper, but can also be vacuum-packed if desired.
How long can artisanal Gouda cheese be kept?
As a general rule, vacuum-packed artisanal Gouda cheese can be kept in the refrigerator for 4 months. After opening the vacuum pack, the cheese can be kept in the fridge in the special cheese paper for approximately 2 weeks.
Take the cheese out of the fridge 15 minutes before use to enjoy the full flavour.
