Our Craxi cheese shop in beautiful Malaga is not the cheese shop you are used to with an assortment of cheeses from different countries.
In our cheese shop, you will ‘only’ find Craxi Gouda farmer’s cheese, this gouda cheese is still manually prepared on the cheese farm in the Netherlands according to a centuries-old tradition from raw cow’s milk that comes from our own cows.
Authentic raw-milk Gouda farmer’s cheese is still made on a small scale on cheese farms in the Netherlands and is recognised by the European Union as a guaranteed traditional speciality.
Gouda cheese (factory cheese) is well known all over the world, but a well-kept secret is that there is also the traditional Gouda farmer’s cheese!
The reason why this artisanal Gouda cheese with its rich, powerful, and unique taste is not known worldwide is that the vast majority of this high-quality cheese stays in the Netherlands.
In our cheese shop in the Mercado de la Merced and in the Mercado de Huelin in Malaga we stock the following types of traditional Dutch Gouda cheese:

Some visitors to our cheese shop have been living here for more than 30 years, but they all say that they have missed the real Gouda cheese.
